ABOUT THE BOOKDakiṣánnárì Yorùbá Aláwòrán is a monolingual pictorial dictionary of the Yorùbá language assembled by Dr. J. Gbenga Fagbọrun (a professional linguist). It is the first instance of a compilation of Yorùbá vocabulary items of this magnitude in the language. The book embraces both current and historical items and their usage. The book gives practical explanations along with examples of using a word in a sentence. The book has over 13,000-word entries. The dictionary aims to standardise the use of the language as we need a clear written record for technological advancement of this digital era.
